This one goes to my Boss Babes - The Girl we want to be around, the Girl we wonder how she does it, the Girly Girl that looks great in pink but can curse like a man, the Girl with the solutions, the fight, the love but mostly the Shine.
Boss babes - we’re always a good time. We’re might be a little rough around the edges, but that just makes us all the more mesmerizing.
With all that being said, there are some things you should know about us fabulous Divas.
1. We will always be straight forward
We will tell you what you need to hear, and you will be a stronger person for it. If you ask for the truth, you’re going to get it.
We aren't rude, we're just real. We don’t beat around the bush because that won’t get you or us anywhere.
2. We are completely fearless.
Nothing scares us. At least not that you would know of. We can be pretty intimidating, and we will never apologize for it. We had to stand for ourselves and a lot of times by ourselves that we have a different confidence on our own skills. We go after what we want, and we always get it.
3. We have a very low tolerance for BS.
There is very little that will get past a that Gi. We’ve already mastered every single game you could throw our way. Mostly because we already played them.
We won’t accept anything that isn’t 100 percent real because we just don’t have the time or patience to deal with it.
4. We don’t believe in making in excuses.
Don’t try to make excuses for your behavior because that will get you nowhere with an Alpha female. It’s better to just own up to the fact that you made a mistake.
If we’re mad at you, you won't have to wonder -- we will tell you.
We believe in getting sh*t done, not making up reasons we didn’t get sh*t done. Follow suit.
5. We can care less if people love us or hate us.
Haters are always going to hate. We just learned to not take it personal. We aren’t sitting around trying to please anyone but ourselves and our tribe you can be with it or just let us be. We have bigger fish to fry.
6. We’re not afraid to be more successful than you.
We’re standout stars in our careers. We own life, and we own the boardroom.
You shouldn’t be threatened by our successes; you should be proud we’re making bank and taking no prisoners.
We may occasionally put our careers before you, but that doesn’t mean we don’t love you. We just have priorities, and that’s a good thing.
7. We’re bosses, not bitches.
Just don't get it confused. There will never be a time when we’re not hustling. It is just who we are, but that doesn’t make us bitches. It just makes us the strong, independent women who rule the world. Women are the fiercest beings to behold.
8. We stand true to our beliefs.
We are very stubborn. We like knowing things, we read, we watch documentaries, we had a desire to be an well rounded person - so if you want to change our beliefs be ready - we will not go down without a fight.
On the flip side, we’re self-aware enough to know when we’ve acted in error, and if you approach us with logic and civility, any conflict can be resolved.
9. We Appreciate but mostly Respect our personal lifes
Miss I-work-52-weeks-a-year. Sorry but the joke's on you. Successful women make their personal time a priority and know the importance of recharging. It's crucial to our sanity, stamina, and creativity. A burnt out and fatigued colleague or leader is last on our list when we think about success and what it really means.
10. We learned how to say NO.
There is an art to saying no. We can't be all things to all people all the time. We cannot commit and attend every meeting, event, and conference that we are invited to. Saying no, kindly, is a successful woman's best friend. Thank the person for thinking of you but keep your plate manageable.
